1. Master of Education (M Ed) - Educational Leadership

The programme is relevant to individuals who have a degree qualification in education / training and has worked in an education or related field for not less than two years.

Entry Requirements:
It is recommended that ideal candidates for this programme possess or exhibit the following:
(i) Possesses a Bachelor’s degree, preferably education related.
(ii) Has worked in the education and/or training field for two or more years.
(iii) Is proficient in English, which is the language of instruction.
(iv) Is computer literate with access to internet connectivity.

2. CEMBA/CEMPA PROGRAMMES

The Commonwealth Executive MBA/MPA (CEMBA/CEMPA) Programmes complement existing MBA/MPA programmes offered in the Commonwealth — to meet the demand for postgraduate management and public administration education.


The objectives of the CEMBA/CEMPA Programme are:
• To enable students in the Commonwealth countries where the Programmes are offered to obtain Master degrees in the areas of Business Administration and Public Administration, contributing to their professional growth and career advancement and to their countries’ development;
• To develop human resources in various aspects of the areas noted above; and
• To develop quality post-graduate programmes that can be implemented widely in Commonwealth countries and can be recognised across the Commonwealth.

JC and BGCSE (School Equivalency)
Registration Dates: 2nd February to 27th March 2015, First come first served


Requirements: Please go to your nearest Study Center with the following items

1. Bring a certified copy of your last academic Certificate.
For JC entry we need a STD 7 pass up to C for beginners and a Junior Certificate (JC) certificate for up graders.
For Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) entry we need a JC pass up to C for beginners and a BGCSE /GCE certificate for up graders.

2. Certified Copy of Omang for Batswana and a Passport for non-Batswana.
A proof of change of name or surname only if they differ from the academic certificate.

Certificate in Vocational Education and Training (Training of Trainers)

The course aims to equip trainers with skills and competencies aligned to the requirements of a trainer standard and for the attainment of a fully accredited Certificate in Vocational Education and Training.It comprises of 9 units, however assessment for unit 9 is embedded in the other 8 units. On completion of this program, candidates will be awarded a Certificate in Vocational Education and Training.

3. Bachelor of Business Administration (leadership and Change Management)- BBA-LCM

The BBA – LCM is an applied and tiered bachelor’s programme offered at three levels, described as entry and exit points. The programme of study is broken down as follows:

Level 1: Certificate in Business Administration (Cert BA–LCM)

Level 2: Diploma in Business Administration (Dip BA–LCM)

Level 3: Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA–LCM)

Duration of Programme

The programme shall be conducted in semesters.

There will be two semesters in one calendar year. The minimum duration for the programme shall be three and a half years (seven semesters). The maximum period shall be eight years (sixteen semesters).

Entry Qualifications

To be admitted to the programme, the candidate must have satisfied the minimum conditions for entry outlined below

i. At least five (5) passes at BGCSE or equivalent with a Grade C or better in both English and Mathematics.

The duration for the Diploma programmes is 24 months. Learners who exit after 12 months, and successfully complete Part I will be awarded a certificate. The Diploma Programmes are quality assured by Zimbabwe Open University.

The programme is designed to introduce the learner to the concepts, issues and practices that are essential to Business Management.

Entry Requirement:
i.    At least 4 passes at BGCSE or equivalent with credits(Grade C or better)in Mathematics & English Language, OR
ii.    At least 4 passes at BGCSE or equivalent with a certificate in Business Management or;
iii.    JC plus (5) five years relevant experience and a certificate in Business Management.


Course Content:
The programme consists of two parts each with 7 courses. Each of the two parts takes 12 months.

2. Diploma in Human Resources Management

The duration of the programme is 24 months. Learners who exit after 12 months, and successfully complete Part 1 will be awarded a certificate. The programme is quality assured by the Zimbabwe Open University. The programme is designed to introduce the learner to the concepts, issues and practices that are essential to Human Resources Management in business industry.

Entry Requirements   
i.    At least 4 passes at BGCSE or equivalent with credits(Grade C or better)in Mathematics and English Language, OR
ii.    At least 4 passes at BGCSE or equivalent with a Certificate in Human Resources Management OR
iii.    JC plus(5)five years relevant experience and a certificate or Human Resources Management

i.    BGCSE or equivalent with two credits and a pass in English, OR
ii.    Relevant work experience and a pass in at least two subjects at BGCSE or its equivalent OR
iii.    Relevant work experience, JC and a Certificate in Early Childhood or equivalent,
iv.    Current employment in an Early Childhood setting will be an added advantage.

The minimum completion time is four (4) years.

NB: At the moment the programme is offered only to in-service teachers with Primary teaching Certificate (PTC)

i.    BGCSE or equivalent with two credits and a pass in English, OR
ii.    Relevant work experience and a pass in at least two subjects at BGCSE or its equivalent, OR
iii.    Relevant work experience, JC and a primary Teacher’s Certificate.
